Low Levels of Sugar & Starch – Horses need good levels of energy in their diets to function, grow and develop. Research has shown that high levels of sugars are one of the main causes of leg issues in foals. When fed in high concentrations to the mares, foals are more likely to develop long term health issues. Benchmark Invest Pro™ is designed to provide a balanced concentration of fibre, sugars and starch to not only help the mare maintain condition throughout her pregnancy but help give her foal the best start in life – even before it is born!

A Complete Feed – Benchmark Invest Pro™ is heavily fortified with essential nutrients, all designed to enhance the health and maintain the condition of the mare throughout her pregnancy while helping to improve the health, growth, development and future of her foal – even before it is born. Provide ample quality forage and water with InvestPro™ for a quality diet.

High Quality and Quantity Protein – Protein is the building blocks for muscles, and protein is made up of Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids. Pregnant mares, unborn foals, growing horses, horses in work and horses recovering from injury not only need plenty of protein to grow and rebuild those muscles, they also need lots of Essential Amino Acids to build even more muscle than what ordinary feeds can provide. Benchmark Invest Pro™ is packed with lots of Key Amino Acids like Lysine, Leucine and Methionine, all designed to build and rebuild a stronger horse.

General Stud Ration
1 kg Invest Pro™ plus 1 kg whole oats or steam flaked/micronized barley plus 2 kg Benchmark Invest™ with up to 6 kg quality hay or grass/pasture (as a guide, horses eat approximately 0.5 kg of pasture dry matter each hour) each day.

Daily Minimum Fibre Requirement for Horses
To enable a horse to maintain a properly functioning hindgut with natural microbial fermentation for complete gut and body health, it is highly recommended that at least 1.0% of the horse’s body weight be fed as fibre. For a 500kg horses, this is equal to a minimum of 5kg a day in the form of hay and/or quality alternative high-fibre products.
